What to bring

There are no shops, roads or facilities other than what we provide on Stewart Island. You will need to bring everything you need with you from the main land. The closest shopping is in Maryborough 20 mins drive by car from the Maaroom or Tuan boat ramps. Basic supplies like ice. Bait, fuel, milk bread and convience shop foods can be purchased from the shop at the Maaroom caravan park.

What to bring

  1. Food and beverages

  2. Toiletries. We are on a biocycle so please only bring biocycle  friendly products. If in doubt please ask us.

  3. Midgie repellent ( like most coastal places in queensland they can be prevalent and aggressive during the warmer months)

  4. Fishing gear

We Provide the following

  • Cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery

  • Paper towel

  • Tea towels

  • Toilet paper

  • Hand and body wash natural and biocycle friendly

  • Dish washing liquid

  • Linen and towels
