Our facilities
Stewart Island is very private and out of the eight properties on the island only one of the villas is for rent. Stewart Island is an ecofriendly retreat. We are completely off the grid. Our villa has battery stored solar power, solar hot water, gas cooking and tank stored rain water.
We are fully equipped
We rent out the downstairs villa which has a master bedroom with a plush queen bed, a second bedroom with 2 bunk beds, a lounge room and kitchen with two sofas that also fold out into double beds for extra sleeping space.

Granite bathroom with shower
240 V fridge
Gas stove and oven
Outdoor covered deck
Fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, cutlery, plates, cups, etc)
Facilities
There are no shops, roads or facilities other than what we provide on Stewart Island. You will need to bring everything you need with you from the mainland. The closest shopping is in Maryborough 20 mins drive by car from the Maaroom or Tuan boat ramps.
Basic supplies like ice. Bait, fuel, milk bread and convenience shop foods can be purchased from the shop at the Maaroom caravan park.
